Munchkin Gallery

We know that a lot of kids really want a Children's Museum here!  How do we know that?  Because in the summer of 2009, the kids at the Gage Elementary Summer SACC (School Age Child Care) program held a penny drive that raised $670 for the Children's Museum.  Other kids have held Lemonade Stands, and one wonderful 9-year-old boy donated $70 out of his piggy bank, money which he'd saved up from birthday gifts and doing chores for his grandma.  We appreciate the efforts of our awesome young supporters!

The Imagination Station

Check out some fun photos of our youngest supporters, and some pictures they drew when we asked: "What do you want to be when you grow up?"  You can draw your own picture, too!

The Children’s Museum of Rochester invites kids to get creative and answer some questions for us!  Kids, please send your answers (along with your first name and age) to info@childrensmuseumrochester.org and we’ll put your answers on our web page.

Here’s the current question:

Come up with a game or activity that you could do with 100 wiffle balls (the kind with the little holes all over them) that isn't baseball-related.

Here was our most recent questions (from Spring, 2009)l: If you and your friends could bounce up and down on the clouds high up in the sky, what type of game would you play up there?  How would you get down?  Read their responses.

In Winter, 2009, we posed the following question to a group of Rochester kindergartners: "If you could take all the pots, pans, and kitchen utensils out of the cupboard and do whatever you wanted with them besides cook, what would you do?"  Check out their responses.

Get creative, kids!
