Testimonial - Melissa Brinkman

CMR vice president Melissa Brinkman (shown with daughter Ashleigh, 7, son Jaxson, 6, and husband Robert) says a Children's Museum is an idea whose time has come in Rochester.

"I got involved in the Children’s Museum project because I see it as a vital missing piece to the families in Rochester. Rochester is such a wonderful place to raise a family and a welcoming community for all of its visitors. Rochester does need more fun, educational places for parents to bring their children to learn and explore and burn off all the pure energy they all have.

Everyone I talk to says that they see this as a definite need in the community and want to know how they can get involved. I tell them, 'spread the word and help us find a way to make it all happen.' There is no downside to a Children’s Museum coming to Rochester. It will benefit families who live here and those who come to visit regardless of what brings them to town.  Experiencing learning through a child’s eye is so rewarding. To give those opportunities to children right here in Rochester, how can I not be a part of it?"
